GOTS is not easy to achieve. Multiprocess facilities require skilled engineering analysis and a working knowledge of the available equipment. However, there is a substantial multiple payoff in (1) being relieved from the stress of the wastewater discharge being constantly monitored plus (2) the long-term and continuing savings from the reduced use of labor, chemicals, energy, and water. © 2007 Elsevier Inc.
