Direction-finding success probability and resolution probability of MUSIC algorithm in the presence of small gain-phase errors

Direction-finding(DF) performance of MUSIC algorithm will be affected by the gain-phase errors. Aimed at the case of small gain-phase errors, the DF success probability and angle resolution probability of MUSIC algorithm are derived. The first-order approximate mathematical expressions of DF error and spatial spectrum, which is disturbed by the gain-phase errors, are given by the means of first-order Taylor series expansion, and then the calculation formulas of DF success probability and angle resolution probability of MUSIC algorithm are obtained according to the statistical model and distribution feature of the gain-phase errors. The theoretical analysis is validated through the numerical experiments which are given in the case of uniform linear array(ULA).
