摘要
As one of latent functionally thermal fluid, microencapsulated phase change material suspension (MPCMS) shows stable properties, large heat storage density and wide range of temperature for which it has great potential in the application in the convective heat transfer enhancement and heat storage. In this paper, MPCMS was prepared using propanol/water mixtures as the base fluid and the influence of the ratio of propanol and water on stability of MPCMS was studied. And then, the microscopic morphology, size distribution, viscosity and rheology characteristics, latent heat, heat capacity and thermal conductivity were tested, and the effect of temperature and mass concentration on the thermal properties of MPCMS was analyzed. The results show that MPCMS has stable properties, high heat storage density and behaves as the Newtonian fluid and has low viscosity when the mass concentration was as high as 40wt%. It was also found that thethermal conductivity of MPCMS decreases linearly with the increase of mass concentration and the thermal conductivity increases at first and then decreases with the increase of temperature in the phase change temperature range.
