摘要
The growing global population and its demand for products have led to environmental problems, while the emerging technologies and new industrial models that accompany Industry 4.0 have had an unprecedented impact on social production, distribution, exchange and consumption, how to realize the sustainable manufacturing and meanwhile to meet the idea of the social inclusive development becomes an urgent problem to be solved in the new industrial revolution era. The opportunities and challenges faced by sustainable manufacturing were analyzed at the product, process and system levels. Then, the background of inclusive manufacturing and its development trend under the new round of technological and industrial revolution were expounded. Furthermore, the technology roadmap from sustainable manufacturing to inclusive manufacturing was discussed, and an inclusive manufacturing system framework called the socio-economic-techno-production system was constructed by fusing the socio-cyber-physical system, big data and blockchains on the basis of integration of long-tail manufacturing and sustainable manufacturing (remanufacturing). The similarities and differences between inclusive manufacturing and sustainable manufacturing were compared and analyzed, and the necessity of changing from environment-oriented sustainable manufacturing to people-oriented inclusive manufacturing was expounded from the perspective of spiral dynamics. © 2019, Editorial Department of CIMS.
