The fuzzy control of the output feedback is researched to improve the dynamic performance of nonlinear systems with uncertain time delays. Based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique and the T-S fuzzy model, the Lyapunov stability theorem is used to obtain a sufficient condition for the existence of the fuzzy controller for the output feedback. Then an algorithm is constructed to transform the sufficient condition into a LMI form, thus obtaining a method for designing the controller. The designed controller guarantees the closed-loop system to be asympototically stable and meets a H∞ norm level. The simulation shows that the method is applicable.
