Electrochemical sensors based on screen-printed electrode (SPEs) for the application of precise detection of chemical and biomolecular substance such as protein, DNA, glucose, pathogen, etc. in a sample solution is presently in high demand especially in healthcare and environmental monitoring. In this paper we report some electrochemical characterizations of commercially available screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs) obtain from three different commercial manufacturers. The main aim of this study was to compare the sensitivity, stability, ideality and reproducibility of SPEs in the development of electrochemical sensors in specific detection of biological and chemical substances.
