摘要
The radiation-induced degradation of 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) in an aqueous solution by 60Co-γ radiation technology is a function of the irradiation dose, the initial 4-CP concentration, the pH value, and free radical scavengers. The degradation of 4-CP was analyzed by measuring the absorption spectra, chloride ion release, total organic carbon (TOC), and adsorbable organic halogens (AOX). The results show that lower initial 4-CP concentrations, higher radiation doses, and lower pH increase the 4-CP degradation. The 4-CP degradation efficiency decreased with increasing n-butanol concentration indicating that&middotOH scavengers significantly influence the degradation of 4-CP by gamma rays.
