<正>Highlights ● This method ensures the precise content of flavonoids in the phenylpropanoid pathway.● For flavonoid-rich plants, the approach is very reliable. ● This method clarifies flavonoid dynamics, aiding gene function understanding.The phenylpropane metabolic pathway is one of the most significant metabolic pathways in plants, synthesizing more than 8,000 metabolites, including flavonoids, lignans, lignin, coumarins, and other metabolites through multiple branching pathways(Zhang and Liu 2015; Gao et al. 2024).
