摘要
Tin is the byproduct in several forms of ores and secondary sources (recycled materials), by producing some 300,000 tons of tin metal per year worldwide. The demand for tin had been surging day by day for the past 30 years and was expected to grow by two percent per annum for the next five to ten years. The main focus of this research is to use electrowinning technique to recover tin from stannous chloride. The electrowinning is carried out using graphite anode and stainless-steel cathode and the electrolytic bath contains stannous chloride and hydrochloric acid. Optimum conditions are obtained by varying the parameters like current density, concentration of stannous chloride and temperature of the electrolyte. © 2023 GDMB Gesellschaft fur Bergbau, Metallurgie, Rohstoff- und Umwelttechnik e.V..
