Twelve interviews were conducted with IT system users and providers to analyze the adaptability of IT systems in manufacturing companies. By methodically analyzing the interviews, it was possible to identify the factors that influence the duration of IT systems use. The evaluation shows that human and organizational aspects are decisive for the long-term use of IT systems, in addition to technical characteristics. © 2024, VDI Fachmedien GmBH & Co. KG.
