摘要
In this paper, the performance of spatial modulation assisted vertical bell labs space-time (SM-VBLAST) system over generalized fading channels are analyzed in the context of ultra-massive antenna configurations. Specifically, the simplified average bit error probability (ABEP) low bound of Rayleigh fading channel is derived for generalized M-phase shift keying (PSK) modulation by exploiting the relationship between pairwise error probability (PEP) and Hamming distance (HD). Then the approximate ABEP low bound of generalized fading channel is deduced utilizing the statistical properties of the channel. Furthermore, a symbol-by-symbol aided expectation propagation (SS-EP) detector is designed for our SM-VBLAST system communicating over generalized fading channels. Our theoretical ABEP bounds are confirmed by simulation results in the cases of small-scale antenna parameters, which is helpful for the bit error rate (BER) performance evaluation in ultra-massive antenna configurations. Simulation results are also shown that the designed SS-EP detector is more robust to generalized fading channels than conventional compressive sensing-based detectors and is capable of approaching the derived ABEP bound in the presence of generalized fading channel.
