摘要
A single-phase ground fault in the stator of a large generator may produce an arc, causing core burnout or even serious accidents such as fire. A flexible fusion arc suppression method is proposed to achieve ground fault current suppression and reliable arc suppression by controlling the neutral point voltage and the converter injection current in parallel. The existing flexible arc suppression method for generator stator single-phase ground fault has a poor arc suppression effect under low or high resistance conditions. The proposed method considers the stator impedance of the generator and the number of stator parallel branches. It applies to different generators and can quickly suppress the ground fault currents to a safe range under different ground fault transition resistances, different fault locations, and so on. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by Matlab/Simulink. © 2024 Power System Technology Press. All rights reserved.
