摘要
The assessment of the consequences for consumers from thunderstorms is relevant, because in some areas, the damage from these phenomena can be significant. The article discusses the main capabilities of lightning detection and recording systems for the needs of the electricity industry. The basic principles of operation of such systems are described, and, based on analysis, criteria for placing system components on the ground have been compiled. The composition of the hardware for lightning direction finding has been determined. A method for assessing damage based on data from thunderstorms, carried out on the basis of a risk-based model, has been described. An architecture for a prototype cloud-based service for predicting power failures has been developed. This work can be useful for energy system specialists and for drawing up long-term programs for the development of territories.
