Multimedia carries rich network information resources. Network information resources preservation can realize long-term access of information resources, which lays the foundation for multimedia information collection and long-term preservation. In order to better achieve the effect of media information processing, this paper studies the application method of virtual reality technology in multimedia information collection algorithm. The significance and process of multimedia information collection are different from network information resource collection, and the collection results are classified and processed to effectively realize multimedia information screening and ensure the effect of information collection and processing. © 2022 ThinkBiotech LLC.
