摘要
To promote the resourceful and high-value utilization of municipal sewage sludge waste, and further cement-based materials sustainable development, the sewage sludge incineration ash (SSA) was prepared by typical sewage sludge waste from Changsha. The influences of SSA dosage and mixing SSA with fly ash and slag on mechanical strength and drying shrinkage of mortar, and corresponding mechanism were studied by macro and micro tests including X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption method, and scanning electron microscopy. The test results show that SSA with appropriate dosage can improve the strength of mortar and the rate of strength growth. When 20% cement is replaced by equivalent mass of SSA with similar particle size, the strength-effect factor reaches 1.2 at 90 days. Moreover, SSA can play a good synergistic effect with fly ash and slag, improving the mechanical strength of mortar. The strength of the specimens with SSA, fly ash, and slag is close to that of the specimens with the same amount of fly ash and slag at all ages. SSA has an effective inhibitory effect on the drying shrinkage of the mortar. The results of the hydration products and microstructure analysis of the Cement-SSA samples show that SSA has a significant pozzolanic effect and promotes the hydration of the cement. The content of the monosulfate crystal phase increases in the system with SSA, and the capillary pores above 50nm are reduced in specimens. Those factors contribute to improving performance and refining the microstructure of cement-based materials. © 2023, Central South University Press. All rights reserved.
