摘要
The main cause of erosive wear of blackwater angle valves in coal gasification systems is the collision and friction of particles with the valve wall. The parameters of particle-valve wall collision can be significantly affected by particle shape. In this study, the effect of particle shape on spool and body wear in blackwater angle valves used in coal gasification was numerically investigated using the CFD-DEM method. The relationship between particle shape and valve wear was fitted using a cubic polynomial. The results of the study can be used as a guide when designing blackwater valves.
