Adaptation of production systems to the effects of climate change a concept to identify and assess climate change impacts and corresponding adaptation measures

The consequences of the advancing climate change, such as periods of heat and drought, heavy rainfall and storms, are occurring with increasing frequency and intensity. These consequences endanger the production processes of companies and cause high damage costs. Therefore, adaptation to climate change impacts will be of central importance for companies in the future. This paper presents a concept approach on how manufacturing companies can identify relevant climate change impacts and determine appropriate adaptation measures. © 2021 Walter de Gruyter GmbH.
