摘要
A dual-polarized bandwidth-enhanced metasurface antenna is presented for the 5G and Wi-Fi 6 access point applications. First, two H-shaped slots are utilized as the broadband excitation configuration. Second, four patches in the middle of the metasurface are etched with two slits to further enhance the impedance bandwidth. By combining the wideband feeding configuration and the modified metasurface, broadside radiation patterns can be generated in a wide bandwidth. Finally, a dual-polarized metasurface antenna is designed and shows better than 30 dB isolation within 3.3 GHz to 5.9 GHz. Moreover, the simulated and measured broadside gains for the two ports are higher than 7.9 dBi and 6.9 dBi, respectively. The proposed metasurface antenna has great potential for both 5G and Wi-Fi access point applications.
