This article introduces the IEEE Standard P2716 'Guide for the Characterization of the Effectiveness of Printed Circuit Board Level Shielding.' After introducing the peculiarities of board level shielding, the shielding effectiveness (SE) measurement methods in the guide are summarized, and some Board Level Shield results from a round robin conducted by the P2716 group are presented. © 2012 IEEE.
