Integrated dilute acid-ternary deep eutectic solvents treatment for efficient component separation and sugar platform from lignocellulose

摘要
Component separation is the key process for efficient sugar platform and fully utilization of lignocellulose. This paper proposed an integrated dilute acid-ternary deep eutectic solvents treatment (DA-DES) for the whole component separation of lignocellulose. 79.06 % of xylose was produced with 94.80 % of hemicellulose separation through dilute acid hydrolysis. A ternary DES of maleic acid/propylene glycol-choline chloride was designed for lignin separation. The optimized hydrogen bond donor and accepter had interaction influence for lignin separation and structure protection. Combined with DA treatment, the separation of lignin reached to 89.65 %, and the cellulose retention was as high as 88.90 %. The integrated treatment can also decrease the polymerization of cellulose, promote the further enzymatic hydrolysis, and an 87.40 % of glucose (20 FPU/g) was obtained. In brief, the integrated system can achieve efficient separation of lignocellulose, produce high yield of xylose, glucose and native-like structure lignin.
