摘要
Morphology of eutectic in a hypo e u t e c tic Cu-Zr alloy can b e changed t o various structures dependent o n plastic deformation methods. This study reports morphological evolution o f eutectic caused b y unidirectional- and cross-rolling in a hypo e u t e c t i c C u-2. 7 a t. % Z r alloy. A graph-based method was applied t o analyze the S E M images t o characterize the morphological evolution o f eutectics i n terms o f o rientation, length, thickness, and connected structure o f eutectics. Before rolling processes, a n as-cast C u-2. 7 a t. % Z r alloy possessed a net-like morphology o f eutectic with random orientations. The morphology o f eutectic changed t o the elongated and oriented one along the rolling direction b y the unidirectional-rolling, and one along the two rolling directions b y the cross-rolling. Variations of electrical conductivity b y the unidirectional- and cross-rolling were also discussed based o n the morphological evolution o f eutectic.
