摘要
The vision of Industry 4.0 describes a fundamental transformation of production and logistics. A study shows that after more than 10 years of hype, no company has reached its goal. The relevance remains high and often the basics are still being worked on. Even if increasing competitive pressure makes changes necessary, a lack of resources is the main hurdle. Real change can only succeed if the smart factory is a management priority. © 2024 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
