With the increasing scale of distributed power sources, the problem of local new energy consumption has become prominent. It is an effective way to solve the problem by adopting the strategy of coordinated control of source network and load and by adjusting the load side voltage to change the load power. In this paper, a novel multi-line fast electromagnetic Sen-transformer with compact structure, quick adjustment, good economy, and high reliability is first proposed, and its topology and control strategy are analyzed. Then a simulation model of typical distribution network and MFE-ST in Si-mulink is established, and the simulation analysis is carried out under various conditions. Finally, a small capacity test model of MFE-ST is developed, and an experimental platform of distribution network is built to carry out the experiment. The simulation and experimental results show that the maximum relative errors of MFE-ST in regulating power flow active power and reactive power are 6.72% and 4.84%, respectively. The compensation effect and accuracy are expected, and MFE-ST can realize the power decoupling control, which verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the MFE-ST proposed in this paper. © 2021, High Voltage Engineering Editorial Department of CEPRI.
