摘要
A questionnaire survey was conducted among public libraries in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions to compare responses by (1) time series and (2) area of emergency declarations, etc., and to examine the continuation of public library operations during an infectious disease epidemic. In addition, architectural plans for libraries in the new normal era were examined. The number of entrances and the location of counters were found to be effective in the conventional architectural plan in preventing infectious diseases in libraries, and issues were found in area closure and ventilation. © 2024 Architectural Institute of Japan.
