3D simulation of jacquard fabrics based on MicroCT scan

摘要
In order to reduce the number of test weaving and cost via simulation of jacquard fabric in fabric CAD system, a new method is proposed to build volume model of fabrics. First the density of single yarn is obtained from microCT scans. Then an initial volume model of yarns is reconstructed based on density data and color photographs. The final fabric volume model is refined by interpolating warped yarn data according to axis position of warp and weft yarns. The effects of hairiness and twist of yarns are manifested via volume rendering. Experimental results show that the method is feasible and the simulation results are natural.
