Long-term variability of the heat content of the baroclinic layer in the northeastern Pacific in the California Current

摘要：
The variability of the water heat content in the layer 0-1000 m in the northeastern Pacific is analyzed based on long-term observations. Seasonal means calculated for the 1950-1987 period allowed us to establish the prevailing tendencies in long-term variations of the thermal water structure. The trend components and a long-term component of temporal variations are determined. The 19- and 5-6-year periods of basic changes in the water heat content of the California Current were singled out based on the analysis of the results obtained.
