Low-molecular-mass ethylene-propylene copolymers (EPCL) synthesized with three catalytic systems, a cationic one based on organoaluminum compound and Ziegler-type based on Ti and V compounds in the presence of hydrogen, were investigated as depressor additives to improve low-temperature properties of diesel fuels. It is noted that number-average molecular mass of EPCL was ranged from 1000 to 3000, and polydispersity index was equal to 1.5-3. It is shown that an efficient DEP-T depressor additive to diesel fuels can be prepared on the base of a product of thermal degradation of ethylene-propylene rubber.
