The article discusses RF simulation and layout aspects of the multilayer low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) circuits. Electromagnetic analysis tool is used for both the design of the components and to account for their coupling. A very efficient planar electromagnetic tool is the Sonnet Professional Suite, which utilizes closed-box solution in conjunction with a uniform grid.
