摘要
The change in the type of the reinforcing component and, hence, the category of nanostructured polyvinyl chloride/boron nitride composites, has a decisive influence on the main mechanical characteristics (the degree of reinforcement and strength) of these nanomaterials. These changes can be described in quantitative terms within the framework of the percolation model of reinforcement. It is shown that when anisotropic plates of 2D nanofiller reach the percolation threshold both the degree of reinforcement and the strength of nanocomposites decrease strongly. © 2017 Begell House, Inc.
