摘要
In Reverse Engineering (RE), the point cloud model usually needs to be modified and machined repeatedly to meet the configuration requirement. Aiming at the problem that the calculate time would reduce significantly if regenerated the tool path only for the modified region, a point cloud design modification tool path regeneration algorithm was proposed. The Cutter Location (CL) points in the modified region were identified and line-by-line recalculated, and new CL points were added to meet tolerance requirement. The regenerated scallop height values of new CL point and adjacent tool path were calculated. If they were greater than the given value, new lines of CL points were added. The algorithm was tested on point cloud, and the result showed that when the modified region was small, the algorithm cost less time than all regenerated tool path.
