摘要
Experiments were conducted on a single cylinder diesel engine with port-fuel-injection of gasoline and ethanol and direct-injection of diesel. The ratios of gasoline/diesel and ethanol/diesel were adjusted to study their effects on combustion characteristics under different loads. Results show that with premixed gasoline or ethanol under low loads, moderate combustion with lower peak pressure is achieved. Both soot and NOx are reduced while with increasing HC and CO emissions. Under higher loads, peak pressure increases with the increase of premixed ratio. Ignition delay increases at higher premixed ratio. But the growth rate decreases gradually with the increase of load. Compared with gasoline, premixed ethanol results in longer ignition delay. Because of lower combustion temperature with premixed ethanol, moderate combustion is achieved even under higher loads. Results show that ethanol has the potential to extend the load. © 2015, Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines. All right reserved.
