摘要
Zirconia ceramics have gradually become the ideal choice for dental prosthetic materials owing to their high strength, corrosion resistance, low plaque adhesion rate, good biocompatibility and aesthetics. However, the material-waste traditional subtractive manufacturing processes are notoriously difficult to obtain products with high quality and exquisite precision. Additive manufacturing technology assisted by digital technique, not only endows the efficient and rapid preparation of zirconia ceramics for dental prosthetics, but also satisfy the precise, complex and individual customized demands in the dental field. This paper reviews the research progress of zirconia ceramics for dental prosthetics from three aspects: zirconia ceramics material properties, additive manufacturing technology and specific applications. The additive manufacturing technologies are discussed deeply, especially for the application and prospects of key technologies such as Vat photopolymerization, material extrusion and material jetting in dental prosthetics. Finally, the main ideas and findings of this paper are summarized, and the future research directions and potential challenges of additive manufacturing of zirconia ceramics for dental restorations are envisioned. © 2024 Central South University of Technology.
