Frame-core wall is a type of structure frequently used in high-rise buildings. In this paper, on focus are the distribution characteristics of the earthquake forces in the core wall and outer frame, i.e. two earthquake fortification lines in this structure system. The commonly used methods are summarized, and adopted to intensify the first fortification line-the ductility of the core wall and to increase the second fortification line-the stiffness and ductility of the outer frame, and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed respectively.
