摘要
This paper analyzed the traction performance of the CRH3-type high-speed trains used for intercity passenger traffic between Beijing and Tianjin in China. On this basis, two alternatives of lifting power and improving traction performance by boosting either the rated voltage or the rated current were proposed under the condition of unchanging traction resistances. Further comparison was made between the two alternatives in respect of torque allowances, inverter capacity and motor losses and the alternatives of boosting the rated current was determined as the first choice. Further analysis was made on how to select the rational range of speeds where the extra constant torque zone was to be added so that the requirements of power lift and average acceleration setting for the 0~200 km/h speed range were satisfied and the extra losses were able to be minimized. The optimization results verify the correctness of the proposed alternative.
