Research on relation between interior noises and out-of-round wheels of high-speed EMU

Referring to interior noises occurring in running high-speed EMUs, the order analysis method was used to compare with measured data. The influence of out-of-round wheel characteristics on interior noises was studied mainly from the prospective of the relation between interior noise characteristics and out-of-round wheels. The research results show as follows: The interior noise frequencies and the polygon order of wheels are of correspondence relationship; when the interior noise frequency lies between 25-100 Hz and 560-710 Hz, the loudness of noises is great and the corresponding out-of-round wheel orders are about 1-3 and 18-20.
