摘要
The pool boiling heat transfer performance on surfaces covered metal foam were investigated by compressing the metal foam and manufacturing channels at atmosphere pressure using refrigerant R141b, the porosity and the pore density of the copper foam were 98% and 110 PPI. The results showed that the boiling heat transfer enhancement of the compressed copper foam increased and then decreased with the increase of the compression factor and the optimal compression factor was 4. Compared with the metal foam without channel, the metal foam with channels enhanced the boiling heat transfer due to the reduction of bubble escaping resistance. Under the current experimental conditions, the optimal boiling heat transfer performance was achieved by the combination of compression and manufactured channels. © 2019, Science Press.
