摘要
Risk assessments for the prevention of accidents at the workplace helps in staff protection and keeping companies out of the court. The common practice for the risk assessment is to make use of a set of ground rules, which ensures the collection of key information. Some of these includes a short description of the accident, the time period when the accident is expected to occur and the causes of hazards etc. The Hazard Log allows the visibility of duplicated accidents and provides with the measures which are necessary to reduce the risk. The Hazard Log compares the previous situations with the current one and thus assists in assessing the changing risk situation. Risk assessments helps to measure instant risk of personnel accident. They help in avoiding accidents occurring and also expensive court cases and compensation payments. The main objective of the risk assessments is to provide safety against accidents for the workforce while they are at work.
