摘要：
The DesignMD, a pre-layout tool which boosts yield for analog circuits, is discussed. It is found that the DesignMD allows design to be approached with maximum yield as primary goal rather than an afterthought. It is observed that the DesignMD's deterministic optimization engine uses linear approximation and a gradient-based algorithm to determine the exact maxima for a given process parameter.
