A resonant DC link current source soft-switching rectifier was proposed to reduce switching loss in hard-switching rectifier and improve the rectifier efficiency. Auxiliary resonant circuit and DC bus was in parallel. DC bus current could move from bridge arm of the rectifier to branch of the auxiliary resonant circuit via resonant of the auxiliary circuit. When current in bridge arm of the rectifier decreased to zero, zero-current operation of main switching devices in rectifier was realized. Auxiliary switching devices could also be operated under soft-switching in the resonant process. According to the circuits under different modes, working process of the circuit were analyzed. The phase-plane in a work period was completed. Design rule and relation between resonant parameters and the loss of auxiliary resonant circuit were discussed. The experimental results verify that soft-switching operation of all switch devices can be realized. Therefore, the soft-switching rectifier presented can work with high-efficiency. © 2020, Harbin University of Science and Technology Publication. All right reserved.
