The application of free space optics (FSO) for laser communication through the air is discussed. FSO communication involves the use of modulated optical or laser beams to send communication information through the atmosphere. FSO is used to solve the internet 'last-mile' interconnectivity problem as it is considered as the unlimited bandwidth solution.
