New high performance lamination resins for flexible packaging printing inks

Development of a new medium viscosity polyamide shows it is possible to achieve dramatically higher color strength and improved resolubility while maintaining most of the desirable lamination characteristics of the industry standard polyamide. Such improved color strength inks are expected to offer an opportunity to use finer line aniloxes for improved press speeds and improved process printing capabilities. Further, the development of a new class of medium molecular weight, alcohol soluble polyurethanes is quite promising.
