To study the influence of longitudinal bolt preload on longitudinal stiffness of shield tunnel,a method for calculating longitudinal stiffness considering longitudinal bolt preload was proposed in this paper by combining theoretical calculation and model test,and the influence of bolt preload was analyzed.The results show that,the longitudinal bolt preload affects the initial bending moment at the segment ring of shield tunnel;when the bending moment is larger than the initial bending moment,the increment of the opening of the segment ring is proportional to the increment of the bending moment; when the loading is small,the longitudinal bolt preload has a significant improvement on longitudinal stiffness,with the increase of loading,the effect of longitudinal bolt preload on the longitudinal stiffness of shield tunnel decreases gradually,when analyzing the influence of longitudinal bolt preload on the longitudinal stiffness of shield tunnel,it is suggested that the influence of longitudinal bolt preload on the longitudinal stiffness of shield tunnel should not be considered. © 2024 Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
