摘要
This paper presents the result on a 12-channel parallel-optical link module with each channel operating at a bit rate up to 2.5 GBd providing an aggregate bit rate up to 30 GBd. Each parallel optical link module is either a 12-channel transmitter module of a 12-channel receiver module with dimensions of 35 mm × 16 mm × 10 mm. Parallel optical interconnects will allow multi-processor systems to scale both in speed and size.
