摘要
The objective of this paper is to identify information systems that are implemented in public ad-ministration in Poland and to investigate their capabilities, benefits, and challenges. First of all, the paper describes the typology of information systems in public administration and identifies the benefits and challenges of their implementation. Next, the background of public administra-tion in Poland is discussed. Then, research findings show examples of information systems im-plementation in Polish public administration. Special attention is paid to capabilities, benefits, and challenges of the information systems implemented in the social security area. The paper concludes with discussing its findings, implications, and avenues for further research. Overall, it is of value for audiences that include researchers and managers of public administration. It can serve as guidelines and sources for references which can stimulate further research.
