Real-time performance optimization for warship power supervisory network based on traffic shaping

To meet the requirements of various data flows for real-time performance of warship power supervisory network based on Ethernet, it is better, with the consideration of implementation and cost, to shape the non-real-time data flows at source nodes and adopt general scheduling mechanisms at communication nodes. According to the delay restrictions of various data flows, the way to choose the scheduling mechanisms for both source nodes and switch and set the traffic shaping parameters is proposed based on the network calculus theory, which meets the requirements for real-time performance and takes full advantage of network resource. With a real warship power supervisory network as an example, the scheduling mechanisms of communication nodes and the traffic shaping parameters of non-real-time data flows are discussed under different delay restrictions for the real-time performance optimization of warship power supervisory network.
