Flux-weakening strategy for improving PMSM dynamic performance

The dynamic performance of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) in flux-weakening operation is not good. To solve the problem, by analyzing the affection of dq-axis current regulators to the PMSM dynamic performance, a flux-weakening strategy for improving PMSM dynamic performance was proposed. The flux-weakening current was obtained by the interaction of q-axis current error integrator and voltage regulator. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the negative effect of q-axis current regulator is restrained, the PMSM dynamic performance in flux-weakening operation is improved, and the proposed strategy has the anti-windup and flux-weakening function.
