摘要
The three-coil wireless power transfer (WPT) system possesses a greater energy transmission distance and higher system transmission efficiency, compared to the two-coil WPT system. Although the three-coil WPT system has an excellent performance on long distance power transmission, theoretical analyses show that its near-field energy transfer efficiency is very low. In this paper, an efficiency optimization of three-coil WPT system based on frequency-varied control is proposed, which uses the optimal operating frequency corresponding to the distance at different transmission distances to improve its near-field energy transfer efficiency. Firstly, we deduced the three-coil WPT system efficiency equation to prove the efficiency could be changed by varying frequency. Secondly, we verified that there is an optimal operating frequency, which varies with transmission distances. Lastly, the feasibility of the efficiency optimization of three-coil structure WPT system based on frequency-varied control was verified by experiments. The problem of low efficiency in near-field is solved, and the maximum improvement of efficiency is 15%. © 2018, Electrical Technology Press Co. Ltd. All right reserved.
