摘要
The corrosive sulfur in mineral insulation oil will react with copper winding and form copper sulfide under certain condition, and Cu2S is considered as the main culprit that will deteriorate the insulation performance of large-scale transformers and reactors. Based on the experimental and FEM simulation (Pig-tail model was adopted) results, some conclusion can be drawn as follows: when copper sulfide is deposited on the insulation paper, the permittivity of insulation paper will increase and the breakdown voltage will decrease simultaneously; the deposition of Cu2S in insulation paper will also affect the electric equipotential contour of the nearby paper layers, and the distribution of maximum electric strength and the infiltration rate of Cu2S in insulation paper are in an exponential growth. Besides, a permitted limited percent for Cu2S penetrating into insulation layers is obtained by some quantitative analyses. The results are favorable for evaluating the risk of Cu2S and some related life prediction for electrical equipment.
