摘要
Additive manufacturing (AM) can provide reliable data support for digital twin model with its all-digital processing mode. Digital twins help AM give full play to its advantages different from traditional manufacturing in the process of design, manufacturing, service and so on. The combination of the two has been widely concerned in the field of industrial manufacturing. To summarize the implementation method of digital twin in AM, the concept and development of digital twin were introduced, and the key technologies of digital twin in AM were analyzed. Based on the application potential of digital twins for the whole life cycle process of AM, the relevant research methods were expounded from four stages: design, manufacturing, quality inspection and service. In addition, the challenge of implementing digital twins in binder spraying process was prospected, and a digital twin technology route for it was proposed. Finally, the problems and future development directions of digital twins in AM were summarized. © 2024 CIMS. All rights reserved.
