摘要
In order to clarify the effect of Fe impurity content on the development of recrystallization textures in Al-5%Mg alloys, Al-5%Mg alloys containing Fe up to 0.40% were cold rolled 95 % and annealed at temperatures between 275 and 450 °C. Their textures were investigated with the orientation distribution function analysis. It was found that, at low annealing temperatures, addition of Fe up to 0.10% remarkably increased retained rolling texture components in the recrystallization texture. This was ascribed to the precipitation of Fe during recrystallization. Addition of Fe more than 0.20 % randomized such retained rolling textures, since particle stimulated nucleation of randomly oriented nuclei occurred around coarse Al Fe particles. At high annealing temperatures, addition of Fe up to 0.20 % significantly enhanced the development of texture of type {100} (001). Nucleation of {103} (321) texture, which is the well-known main orientation of the Al-5%Mg alloy, was found to be strongly suppressed by the addition of Fe. © 2000 Carl Hanser Verlag.
